A revolutionary flag of Kolokotronis with many symbolisms.
The flag is on display at the Benaki Museum and belonged to the old man of Moria.
From the left we see the Holy Spirit carrying the crown of Romania symbolizing the original goal of the Society of Friends and the revolution which was the restoration of the Byzantine Empire.
In the centre is the symbol of the Cross and on the right is the goddess Athena subduing an enemy.
The chains of slavery are also shown in the lower left and the chains of slavery are broken.
The flag was handed over at some point by Kolokotronis to Constantine Dragonas, who had made a significant contribution to the revolutionary struggle. Dragonas was a member of the Masonic lodge of Zakynthos and a member of the Friendly Society.
